Fitler, Mississippi
Fitler is a small, unincorporated community in Issaquena County, Mississippi. It sits on Mississippi Highway 1, about six miles west of the town of Onward. Fitler had a post office from around 1901 to 1976. In 2012, a hunting camp near Fitler yielded a 697.5-pound alligator, the heaviest recorded in Mississippi. Robert E. Foster, who served in the Mississippi House of Representatives from 1912 to 1931, lived in Fitler.
