Ferrero Tennis Academy

Ferrero Tennis Academy is a tennis training center in Villena, Alicante, Spain. It was founded in 1990 by Antonio Martínez Cascales, who later coached Juan Carlos Ferrero. The school was first called Equelite Academy, then JC Ferrero Equelite Academy, and is now known as the Ferrero Tennis Academy. It has about 20 courts and hosts the Villena Open on the ATP Challenger Tour. In 2018, it held the JC Ferrero Challenger Open, the first Challenger tournament in Alicante since 1996. In July 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the academy organized an exhibition with Pablo Carreño Busta, Alex de Minaur, João Sousa, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and 17-year-old Carlos Alcaraz. In 2023, the center court was named after Alcaraz, a long-time student. The director is Juan Carlos Ferrero. The academy’s website is ferreroacademy.com.
