Chris Bauman is a Canadian former professional football player who was a wide receiver and slotback in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was born in Brandon, Manitoba, and is 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 212 pounds. Bauman went to Vincent Massey High School in Brandon, played junior football with the Winnipeg Rifles in 2003, and then played college football for the Regina Rams at the University of Regina. He was the first overall pick in the 2007 CFL draft, selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In his rookie season, he had 30 receptions for 370 yards. He played for Hamilton from 2007 to 2010. On February 1, 2011, he was released by Hamilton and soon signed with the Edmonton Eskimos for the 2011 season. He was released in January 2012 and signed by the Calgary Stampeders on January 19, 2012. Bauman won the Grey Cup with Calgary in 2014 and finished his CFL career with them.
