Fear & Freedom is the third studio album by Australian singer Ricki-Lee Coulter, released on 17 August 2012 by EMI Music Australia. It was Coulter’s first release after leaving Shock Records. She had been working on the album since 2009 under the working title Hear No, See No, Speak No, but the project was delayed after early singles failed to make an impact. After a 2010 break, Coulter began writing new material in 2011 and, following her split from Shock Records in August 2011, signed with EMI. The album moves toward upbeat pop, mixing dance-pop, electropop, drum and bass, and trance, with love and self-empowerment as its core themes.

Fear & Freedom received positive reviews for its production and Coulter’s vocal performance. It debuted at number seven on the ARIA Albums Chart, marking her first top-ten solo album, and also topped the ARIA Dance Albums Chart.

The lead single “Raining Diamonds” was released on 18 October 2011, peaking at number 19 on the ARIA Singles Chart and earning platinum certification. The second single “Do It Like That” came out on 23 March 2012, reaching number 13 in Australia, earning platinum, and hitting the Japan Hot 100. The third single “Crazy” (13 July 2012) peaked at 46, and the fourth single “Burn It Down” (7 December 2012) peaked at 49.

Promotion included TV performances on Sunrise and Funniest Home Videos, a Sydney show at the Beresford Hotel, and a Westfield shopping center tour. The Fear & Freedom Tour followed in late 2012 with additional dates into 2013.

Critics highlighted the album’s energetic, radio-ready tracks and Coulter’s confident, empowered persona, calling it a strong, dance-forward pop release for 2012.
