FIBA U17 Women's Centrobasket
The FIBA U17 Women's Centrobasket is a basketball competition for under-17 girls’ national teams from Central America and the Caribbean. Held roughly every two years, it is run by FIBA Americas and acts as a qualifier for the FIBA Under-18 Women's AmeriCup. It started as an under-18 event and switched to under-17 in 2009. Up to eight teams compete in the tournament.
The 2023 edition is the most recent. Puerto Rico won the latest title (their 3rd), while Mexico has won the most titles overall (5). The competition links to the FIBA Under-18 Women's AmeriCup, and a related event is the FIBA U15 Women's Centrobasket. Official website: www.fiba.basketball/history.
