Essoldo Cinema, Beeston, was a cinema in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, England. It opened on 1 September 1938 at 291 Queen’s Road, at the junction with Station Road. The building, designed by architect Ernest S. Roberts, could seat 1,038 people and featured a 73-foot-tall front tower. It was originally known as the Majestic Cinema, Beeston, and later became the Essoldo after being taken over by the Essoldo Group in 1952. The cinema had some trouble with managers in the 1940s, including theft convictions in 1941 and 1947. In March 1947 the River Trent flooded Beeston and caused some damage, but the cinema remained usable. It closed as a cinema on 14 September 1968 when the Essoldo Group was taken over by Classic Cinemas. It then spent some time as a bingo hall until 1988. The site is now occupied by a Co-op supermarket.
