Alize Espiridiona Cenda del Castillo (14 December 1869 – 11 December 1945), known on stage as Chiquita, was a Cuban dwarf singer and performer. She was 26 inches tall, and in 1901 C. Francis Jenkins built for her the smallest automobile ever made. She was married and had one child who weighed less than two pounds and died young. Cenda spoke Spanish, Italian, and English. In 2008, Cuban author Antonio Orlando Rodríguez won the Premio Alfaguara for his novel Chiquita, based on her life.
