Aída Judith León Lara (23 June 1928 – 20 November 2024) was the First Lady of Ecuador from 1972 to 1976, married to General Guillermo Rodríguez and mother of five. Born in Pujilí, Cotopaxi Province, she led the National Children's Trust (later known as INNFA after 1980), working to give it legal status and to inventory its assets—a project started by Corina del Parral in 1960, with support from the Comptroller General. In early 1973 she helped evacuate and care for flood victims in Babahoyo, during which she contracted sepsis and received treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She died in Quito on 20 November 2024, at the age of 96.
