Eijkman (crater)
Eijkman is a lunar impact crater on the Moon’s far side, in the southern hemisphere. It is about 54 kilometers in diameter. It lies southeast of the larger Lemaître crater, with Crommelin to the south-southwest and Fizeau to the northeast. The rim is well defined and not heavily worn, though there are a few tiny craters along the edge and a small one on the northern inner wall. The inner walls show slight terracing, especially on the northwest. Near the center of the floor is a horseshoe-shaped central peak, open toward the south. The crater is named after Christiaan Eijkman.
