Eduard Fernández Serrano (born 25 August 1964) is a Spanish actor from Barcelona, Catalonia. He trained as a mime at Barcelona’s Institut del Teatre and even performed on the streets. He spent years in theatre with the company Els Joglars and later moved into film and television. He has a daughter, Greta Fernández, who is also an actress, from a long relationship with writer Esmeralda Berbel.

Fernández made his film debut at age 30 in Souvenir (1994). His breakthrough came with the thriller Washington Wolves (1999), which earned him a Goya nomination for Best New Actor. He won the Goya Award for Best Actor for Fausto 5.0 (2001), in which he played Santos Vella.

For these performances he won both the Gaudí and the Goya Awards for Best Leading Actor, and he received the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts. That year he also released El otro, his directorial debut, a short film shown at Seminci.

In 2025, he received Spain’s National Cinematography Prize for his career and for two standout performances in 2024.
