Edificio Empresas Ferré
Edificio Empresas Ferré, today known as the Centros Sor Isolina Ferré Building, is a historic International-style building in the Ponce Playa area of Ponce, Puerto Rico. It was built in 1953 and designed by architect Robert M. Little to house workshop space and the offices of Ferré Enterprises, founded by Luis A. Ferré.
Ferré Enterprises later included companies like Ponce Cement and Puerto Rico Iron Works and grew during Puerto Rico’s post–World War II industrial boom, part of the era known as Operation Bootstrap. The building also hosts La Fundición, a mural painted in 1953 by Rafael Ríos Rey.
Both the building and the mural were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013 because of their architectural, artistic, and historical significance. Today, the building houses Trinity College of Puerto Rico.
Location: 834 Eugenio María de Hostos Avenue, Ponce, Puerto Rico. Coordinates: 17°58′54″N 66°37′12″W.
