Drowned in Sound (DiS) is a UK online music magazine created by Sean Adams. It began as an email fanzine called The Last Resort in 1998 and was relaunched as Drowned in Sound in 2000. The site offers reviews, news, interviews, and discussion forums, and it also features a user-rated database of artists and details about UK live venues.

Key projects over the years include the Drowned in Sound Recordings label (launched in 2004), the Drowned in Sound Radio podcast (2005), and the Drownload audio/video blog with RCRDLBL.com (2007). DiS has run with the Summer Sundae festival since 2008, and the 10th anniversary in 2010 featured a lineup headlined by the Futureheads and Frightened Rabbit.

In April 2019, Pitchfork reported that the site would close its editorial content after a post by Adams, though the community forums remained active. In March 2023, Adams launched a new podcast under the DiS name, which expanded into a newsletter, a record label, and a refreshed, independent website owned by Adams.

DiS used to share ownership with Silentway Ltd and had a short-lived partnership with BSkyB that ended in August 2008, resulting in staff layoffs. The site has received various awards and recognitions, including being named among top music sites by The Observer in 2006, hitting over 150,000 unique readers per week in 2006, and winning Best Podcast and Best Online Music Publication at several awards between 2006 and 2010.
