Heeney and Luke Laird. The up-tempo song, 3:11 long, is about using a drink to forget problems. It was produced by Jay Joyce and Eric Church and released on EMI Nashville. The track became Church’s first number-one hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Critical reception was positive: Taste of Country gave it 4.5/5, Roughstock 4.5/5, and Country Universe gave it a B−, calling it a solid radio-friendly track. It debuted at number 57 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for the week of August 27, 2011. By April 2014 it had sold about 1.19 million digital copies in the US, and it was certified 5× Platinum by the RIAA on October 30, 2024.

The single sits between "Homeboy" and "Springsteen" in Eric Church’s discography.
