Dongchon (동촌) was a historical township in what is now Dalseong County, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. Today, its area is part of Dong District in Daegu, located in the southwest of the Korean Peninsula. It was originally called Haean-myeon, renamed to Dongchon-myeon in 1940, and in 1958 it became part of the expanding city of Daegu. The old Dongchon Town Office was in Ipseok-dong, an area now densely populated. The historic Dongchon area corresponds to six neighborhoods (dong) in Dong District of Daegu.
