Digitalk
Digitalk is a yearly two‑day tech conference in Bulgaria, organized by the business newspaper Capital weekly. It brings together creative professionals, investors, entrepreneurs, and marketing executives to talk about the future of the web. Topics include mobile marketing, online ads, e‑commerce, brand storytelling, and entrepreneurship.
The first Digitalk was held at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in Sofia on September 26, 2011. It looked at how mobile technologies affect business and society, and more than 700 people from Southeast Europe attended. The 2011 promo campaign for Digitalk, created by Next-DC, won two gold awards at FARA, Bulgaria’s advertising fair. Notable speakers included Matt Mullenweg, Horace Dediu, Felix Salmon, James McKelvey, and Sasha Bezuhanova.
In 2012, Digitalk took place on October 1. It focused on the rise of entrepreneurship in Southeast Europe, mobile commerce, and digital brand storytelling. Speakers included Tom Eslinger, Ben Barokas, Paul Kewene-Hite, Edu Pou, Miriam Healy, Jon Bradford, Dieter Kopitzki, and Jay Basnight, among others.
The next Digitalk was planned for June 3, 2013, with a focus on technology startups. The program was to feature three keynotes covering the early, later, and exit stages of a startup.
