Didi Tsikhiata is a small village in Georgia, in the Tighva Municipality (Nuli area). It sits on the eastern slope of the Likhi Range, beside the Eastern Prone River, at about 960 meters above sea level. It is 11 km from Korna and 18 km from Tskhinvali, the nearest railway station, and has a population of about 47 people. From 1922 to 1990 it was part of Znauri district in the South Ossetian Autonomous Oblast. After 1990 it joined Kareli district, and since 2006 it has been part of Tighva Municipality. Due to conflicts in the 1990s, the village is not under Georgian government control. Since 2008, Georgia regards the area as occupied by Russia. The ruins of the Kherkheulidze family tower are in the village. Coordinates: 42.25111°N, 43.79139°E.
