Deník
Deník is a Czech regional daily newspaper published in tabloid format. It was founded in 2006 and is written in Czech. It was originally owned by the German publisher Verlagsgruppe Passau (VGP) and has been owned by Penta Investments since 2015. In September 2006, many Czech regional papers were rebranded as Deník with a regional name, such as Pražský deník for Prague. Besides the Prague edition, 72 regional newspapers joined the Deník brand at launch. In 2007, Deník reached a circulation of 328,319 copies, making it the second most-read newspaper in the country. Circulation then fell to 295,307 in 2008, 247,987 in 2009, 224,122 in 2010 and 204,084 in 2011.
