Delaware City Local School District is a public school system in Delaware, Ohio. It has seven schools and serves about 5,595 students (2022–23) with around 282 teachers. The district motto is Achieving Excellence, Honoring Tradition, and it serves grades PreK–12. The Frank B. Willis Education Center houses the district offices. Heidi Kegley has been the superintendent since August 1, 2019, and she leads the district under a locally elected Board of Education. Board members are elected to four-year terms. Each year, a Hayes High School senior is appointed by the principal to serve on the board for the year as a student voice (no voting power). The 2021–22 student board member was Katie Hejmanowski.
