Daryan, East Azerbaijan
Daryan (Persian: داریان) is a city in the Central District of Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran. It lies at 38°12′59″N 45°37′39″E (38.21639°N 45.62750°E). The main income for families is agriculture. In 2006, when it was still a village in Guney-ye Markazi Rural District, its population was 2,220 in 691 households. In 2011 it rose to 3,954 people in 1,207 households, and in 2016 it reached 4,138 people in 1,242 households, making it the most populous village in its rural district. Daryan was upgraded to a city in 2019. The time zone is IRST (UTC+3:30).
