Darkdevil is a Marvel Comics superhero from the Marvel 2 era. His real name is Reilly Tyne, and he is the son of Ben Reilly (Spider-Man’s clone) and Elizabeth Tyne.

Origin and identity
- Reilly’s powers surface while he is still a child, but his body begins to degenerate. Kaine, Peter Parker’s first clone, finds him and places him in a regeneration tank to slow the decline. Kaine tries to bring Daredevil back to life and to heal Reilly, summoning the demon Zarathos. Daredevil’s soul intervenes, repelling Zarathos, and parts of Daredevil’s and Zarathos’ souls enter Reilly, giving him a demonic look.

Becoming Darkdevil
- As he grows, Reilly learns to present himself as a normal young man in his twenties. He studies law and becomes an attorney, while donning a Daredevil-like costume and using his demonic abilities to fight crime as Darkdevil.

Powers and abilities
- Darkdevil has powers similar to Spider-Man: superhuman strength, speed, and agility; a healing factor; and a precognitive “Spider-Sense.” Because he carries part of Zarathos’ soul, he can generate fire and teleport, in addition to wall-crawling.

Relationships and teams
- He fights crime alongside Spider-Girl and occasionally with Spider-Man. He later teams up with the New Warriors. He hints at connections to Daredevil, Spider-Man, and Kaine, though Spider-Man and Spider-Girl are not fully aware of his genetic ties (May Parker later learns Reilly is her cousin).

Appearances and notable moments
- Darkdevil first appeared in Spider-Girl #2 (November 1998) and got his own Darkdevil solo series in 2000, with further appearances in other crossovers such as Last Hero Standing in 2005. In one mind-scan by the Sorcerer Doc Magus, three beings are found inside him: Reilly Tyne, Daredevil, and Zarathos as Ghost Rider.

Reception
- Darkdevil is recognized as one of Marvel’s notable Daredevil variants by fans and media, including listings by Screen Rant.
