Ladoceia
Ladoceia, also called Ladokeia (Greek: ta Ladókeia), and known as Laodicium or Laodikion, was a place in ancient Arcadia, in the Maenalia district. After Megalopolis was built, it became a suburb of Megalopolis. It lay on the road from Megalopolis to Pallantium and Tegea. Two battles were fought nearby: Mantineians vs. Tegeatae in 423 BCE, and the Achaeans against the Spartan king Cleomenes III in 226 BCE. Thucydides places it in the district of Oresthis. Today its exact site is unknown.
