Dani Zachary Isaacsohn (born November 13, 1988) is an American politician and businessman who serves as the Minority Leader of the Ohio House of Representatives. He is a Democrat who represents the 24th district in eastern Cincinnati. He was elected to the Ohio House in November 2022 and took office in January 2023. He was re-elected in 2024 and became Minority Leader on June 24, 2025. He is the first Cincinnati-based politician to hold that role in more than 50 years.

Background
Isaacsohn grew up in Cincinnati in a Jewish family and graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 2007. He earned a Bachelor of Science in foreign relations from Georgetown University, a Juris Doctor from Yale University, and a Master of Philosophy in politics from the University of Cambridge.

Career
He began in politics as a field organizer for Barack Obama's 2008 campaign. He has worked on several campaigns and in public service roles, including a White House Counsel internship in 2014, deputy campaigns and political director for Battleground Texas (2013–2014), a summer associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, and deputy get-out-the-vote director for the Democratic efforts in Virginia and the Hillary Clinton 2016 campaign. From 2017 to 2019, he was a senior advisor at 17a, a Cincinnati-based public service organization, and in 2017 he founded Cohear, a consulting firm.

In the Ohio House, Isaacsohn defeated former State Representative Dale Mallory in the Democratic primary and Republican Adam Koehler in the general election. He was re-elected in 2024 and served as Democratic Whip after Jessica Miranda’s resignation, before being chosen as Minority Leader following Allison Russo’s decision to step down.

As a lawmaker, he is the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee and sits on the Finance and Energy Committees. He helped establish the Ohio Jewish Caucus, which includes several other state lawmakers.
