Dacor is a high‑end kitchen appliance brand owned by Samsung Electronics America. It designs, manufactures, and distributes premium appliances such as wall ovens, ranges, cooktops, ventilation hoods, dishwashers, warming drawers, microwaves, refrigerators, and wine dispensers. The company was founded in 1965 in Pasadena, California by Stanley M. Joseph and stayed in the Joseph family for three generations until Samsung bought it in 2016. Dacor runs a large manufacturing facility (about 325,000 square feet) and sells through more than 1,300 dealer showrooms in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a Los Angeles showroom serving customers. Its headquarters are listed as Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, while its main factory was located in City of Industry, California until 2021. In 2010, Dacor partnered with BMW Group DesignworksUSA to create the distinctive 36-inch gas cooktop and the Discovery iQ controller for its top ovens. The Joseph family is the only family to have three members inducted into the NKBA Hall of Fame.
