Craig Smart (footballer, born 1975)
Craig Smart (born 23 March 1978) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a midfielder. He began in the youth system at Dunfermline but never played for their first team. In 1995 he joined Livingston, who had recently been renamed and moved to West Lothian. He was part of the team that won the 1995–96 Scottish Third Division and went on to make 48 league appearances, scoring 1 goal, before leaving in 1997. Smart then moved to Newry City in Northern Ireland for a season, before returning to Scotland to sign for Brechin City in 1998–1999, where he made 30 league appearances and scored 1 goal. After leaving Brechin, he played for Hill of Beath Hawthorn. In 1996 he was eligible to represent India internationally because his grandfather was born there, but he did not accept the call-up.
