Corra White Harris House, Study, and Chapel
Corra White Harris House, Study, and Chapel, also known as In the Valley, is a hilltop property in Rydal, Georgia. It was the home of writer Corra White Harris, famous for A Circuit Rider's Wife (1910), which became the 1951 film I’d Climb the Highest Mountain. Harris bought the property in 1913 and lived there until her death in 1935. In 1916 she published "In the Valley" in The Independent. The center part of the house was reportedly built around 1830 by Pine Log, a Cherokee chieftain. The complex sits on about 57 acres and includes five contributing buildings and one other contributing structure. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 25, 1997. The site is in Bartow County, Georgia.
