Coolie is the soundtrack album for the 2025 Tamil film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Rajinikanth. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his fourth collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj and his fifth with Rajinikanth. Sun Pictures released the album on 2 August 2025 at the film’s audio launch in Chennai.
The eight-track album features three singles released before the full soundtrack: Chikitu (25 June 2025), Monica (11 July 2025), and Powerhouse (22 July 2025). The teaser for Coolie Disco, released on 22 April 2024, includes a sample of Vaa Vaa Pakkam Vaa from Ilaiyaraaja’s Thanga Magan (1983).
Monica’s video featured a viral hook step performed by Pooja Hegde, which helped boost excitement for the film. There was a copyright notice from Ilaiyaraaja over the teaser’s use of Vaa Vaa Pakkam Vaa, but a Madras High Court hearing noted that Ilaiyaraaja could not claim exclusive ownership since the lyrics were by someone else; rights were connected to Echo and later Sun Pictures.
In addition to the main soundtrack, a separate film score album with 21 background tracks was released on 10 September 2025. The score runs about 41 minutes and 8 seconds and includes music in Tamil, English, and Spanish.
