Colville Lake (Northwest Territories)
Colville Lake is a large lake in the Sahtu Region of Canada's Northwest Territories. It is the 20th largest lake in the territory and lies about 100 kilometers northwest of Great Bear Lake. The lake covers about 455 square kilometers, has a perimeter of about 121 kilometers, and sits at an elevation of around 245 meters.
The only community on the lake is Colville Lake, a Sahtu Dene village with about 126 residents, located on the southeast shore. The area is served by Colville Lake/Tommy Kochon Aerodrome and Colville Lake Water Aerodrome. The lake is named after Andrew Colvile.
