Cold Beer Calling My Name
Cold Beer Calling My Name is a country song by Jameson Rodgers with Luke Combs. It was released on December 7, 2020, as the second single from Rodgers’s debut album Bet You're from a Small Town. The song was written by Rodgers along with Alysa Vanderheym, Brett Tyler, and Hunter Phelps, and produced by Chris Farren and Jake Mitchell. Rodgers had opened for Combs on his 2019 tour and learned from him how to make instant country hits. He said the song is fun and easy, and he asked Luke Combs to sing on it because they both love a cold beer. Rolling Stone described the song as starting with sharp guitar sounds and telling a story about driving into a long night. The music video, directed by Dustin Haney, was released on February 10, 2021. In the video, Rodgers and Combs play beer delivery drivers who are invited to a bonfire by Drew Parker and told to bring a six-pack.
