Clare Seo
Clare Seo, also known as Seo Hee-won (Korean: 서희원), is an American figure skater who competes in women’s singles. She was born on October 17, 2006, in Claremont, California. She spent several years in South Korea before moving back to the United States in 2020. She trains with the Broadmoor Skating Club in Colorado Springs under coach Eddie Shipstad and has represented the United States since 2020 (she previously competed for South Korea in 2019–20).
Seo is the 2023 CS Budapest Trophy bronze medalist, the 2021 JGP France I bronze medalist, and the 2022 U.S. junior national champion. She has finished in the top ten at the World Junior Championships twice, placing sixth in 2022 and eighth in 2023. She also won the 2020 South Korean junior national title. Seo began skating in 2010 and has progressed from junior to senior level, making her senior international debut in 2022. She attended Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs from 2022 to 2025 and plans to study sports psychology after her skating career.
