Church of St Margaret of Scotland, Twickenham
The Church of St Margaret of Scotland, also known as St Margarets Catholic Church, is a Roman Catholic church on St Margaret’s Road in Twickenham, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England. The parish was created in 1936. The church building at 130 St Margaret’s Road was designed by Austin Winkley, a noted architect of the Liturgical Movement, and opened in 1969. It became a Grade II listed building on 5 May 1999.
The church is named after Saint Margaret of Scotland, an 11th-century Saxon princess who became Queen of Scotland when she married Malcolm III and was canonised in 1250. Mass is held on Saturday and Sunday evenings and on most mornings, except Thursdays.
