Chiusanico is a small comune (municipality) in the Province of Imperia, in the Liguria region of Italy. It covers 13.7 square kilometers and sits at 380 meters above sea level. As of 2010, about 611 people lived there, with a population density of around 44.6 per square kilometer. The inhabitants are called Chiusanichesi. Chiusanico is about 90 km southwest of Genoa and 10 km northwest of Imperia. It borders Borgomaro, Caravonica, Cesio, Chiusavecchia, Diano Arentino, Lucinasco, Pontedassio, Stellanello, and Testico. The local Ligurian name for the town is Ciuxanego. The mayor is Nicia Tallone. Postal code 18027 and area code 0183.
