Chilly Friday
Chilly Friday is a rock band from Nuuk, Greenland. They formed on a Friday in 2000, and their name comes from that. They have released seven albums. Some album titles are in Greenlandic, and many songs are in Greenlandic and English. Their 2004 album Tribute includes pro-independence Greenlandic songs from the 1970s and 1980s Home Rule Movement. The album M/S Kalaallit Nunaat is sung entirely in Greenlandic. After a break, they gave a comeback concert in Nuuk on September 4, 2015 to celebrate 15 years. The band is now based in Copenhagen for logistical reasons. They call their music "Rock from the Great White Pearl." Current members are Malik Kleist, Henrik Møller Jensen, Alex Andersen, and Angunnguaq Larsen.
