Cheri Knight is an American singer, songwriter, and bassist best known for her work with the band Blood Oranges and for her solo albums. She came up in the Northampton, Massachusetts area, where she was the singer, songwriter, and bass player for Blood Oranges, an influential alt-country group.

After Blood Oranges ended, Knight released two solo albums. The Knitter (1996) was produced by Eric Ambel and featured a group of notable collaborators. The Northeast Kingdom (1998) was produced by Twangtrust (Steve Earle and Ray Kennedy) and included contributions from Emmylou Harris, Tammy Rogers, Jimmy Ryan, Mark Spencer, and Will Rigby, among others. Since then, Knight has focused more on farming; she ran an organic flower farm in Massachusetts and has largely stepped back from recording and performing, though she released American Rituals in 2022 on Freedom To Spend.

Gardening and music have long been linked for Knight, with her work in the garden often tying back to her songs.
