Charles Frederick Ernest Bartling (3 June 1912 – 30 January 1998) was an Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) for North Melbourne and Fitzroy. He came from Aspendale and the St Kilda Reserves, was 183 cm tall and weighed 76 kg. He played 13 games and scored 1 goal for North Melbourne from 1935 to 1936, then 2 games for Fitzroy in 1937, for a total of 15 games and 1 goal.

During World War II, Bartling served in the Australian Army. He spent a year in New Guinea, fractured his wrist, and was declared unfit for rifle duty. He was discharged in November 1945. He died in Chelsea, Victoria, in 1998 at the age of 85.
