Charles Sydney Atkin (26 February 1889 – 9 May 1958) was a British field hockey player who won Olympic gold in 1920. He was born and died in Sheffield and played as a full-back/left back.

Atkin studied at Marlborough College and Caius College, Cambridge, where he earned a blue in 1909 and 1910 in the Varsity Match against Oxford. After university he trained as a doctor at St Bartholomew's Hospital. He played club hockey for Beckenham and represented Kent at county level.

He made his England debut in 1913, playing three matches before World War I interrupted his career. He served as a captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps during the war. After the war he joined his family medical practice in Sheffield.

In the 1920 Antwerp Olympics, he played as a left back for Great Britain and helped the team win the gold medal. His last international game came in 1921 against Ireland.
