Charlatan is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band Victorian Halls. It was released on August 16, 2011, through Victory Records. The 12-track album runs 39 minutes and 44 seconds and was recorded at Cameron Webb’s studio in Los Angeles, produced by Victorian Halls. The cover art was created by Chelsea Greene Lewyta. All songs were written by Victorian Halls. The vinyl release is white-and-green marbled, with some copies featuring an etched joke about the producer’s love for Justin Bieber on the inner ring. To promote Charlatan, the band released an interactive e-card that previews each track. The singles from the album include “A Crush is a Crush” (2011), “It All Started In The Hall” (2012), “La Di Da” (2013), and “So Ambitious” (2014). The album sits in the band's discography before their 2015 album Hyperalgesia.
