Champseru is a small commune in the Eure-et-Loir department, in north-central France’s Centre-Val de Loire region. It covers about 115 square kilometers and has a population of 345 people (2023), giving a low population density of around 23 residents per square kilometer. The village sits at about 150 meters above sea level.

Champseru is part of the Chartres arrondissement and the Auneau canton, within the Chartres Métropole intercommunality. The current mayor (2020–2026) is Corinne Brillot. The postal code is 28700 and the INSEE code is 28073. The area features a church and a predominantly rural landscape.
