Carrières-sur-Seine

Carrières-sur-Seine is a small town in the Yvelines department, in the Île-de-France region of north-central France, near Paris. It covers 15.02 square kilometers and had 14,791 residents in 2023, giving a population density of about 2,950 people per square kilometer. The land is fairly flat, rising from 23 to 58 meters above sea level.

The current mayor (2020–2026) is Arnaud de Bourrousse. The town belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and the canton of Houilles, and is part of the Saint Germain Boucles Seine intercommunal community.

People from Carrières-sur-Seine are called Carrillons (men) and Carrillonnes (women). The town has preschools and elementary schools. For secondary schooling, students attend schools in Carrières-sur-Seine or in nearby towns.
