Carolina Bird Club (CBC) is a nonprofit based in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was founded on March 6, 1937, after pastor John H. Grey Jr. suggested creating a state bird club. The club promotes bird-watching, conservation, and education, and it has published the bulletin The Chat since its start. Grey declined the presidency to serve as secretary, treasurer, and editor, and Clement S. Brimley became the first president. The current president is Susan Campbell of Apex, North Carolina.
