Carlos Richards
Carlos Peliza Richards (born 30 August 2005) is a Gibraltarian footballer who plays as a winger for Erith Town, on loan from Bromley.
Richards trained with Chelsea and West Ham United before joining Derby County in 2021. He progressed through Derby’s under-18s and under-23s and made his professional debut for Derby in a 2-1 Championship win over Fulham on 15 April 2022, coming on as a late substitute.
He spent the 2022–23 season with Derby’s under-21s, signing his first professional contract and being promoted to the full-time under-21 squad for 2023–24, during which he made 10 Premier League 2 appearances. He was released by Derby at the end of that season.
After a few months without a club, Richards joined Dorking Wanderers in December 2024, making his debut in the Surrey Senior Cup against Lingfield. He also played for Dorking’s B team in the Southern Combination League Division One, scoring on his debut for the B team on 1 February 2025 against Montpelier Villa.
In August 2025 he joined Bromley and played for their under-21 side in the Suburban League. On 8 November 2025 he went on a short-term loan to Hampton & Richmond Borough in the National League South. In January 2026 he joined Erith Town on loan from Bromley.
Internationally, Richards has represented Gibraltar at youth levels, including the U17, U19 and U21 teams. He made his senior international debut on 22 March 2025, starting and playing the full 90 minutes in a 3-1 defeat to Montenegro. He had previously provided an assist on his U17 debut in August 2021.
