Carl Haglund
Carl Christoffer "Calle" Haglund (born 29 March 1979 in Espoo, Finland) is a Finnish politician and businessman. A member of the Swedish People's Party, he served as a member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2012, then as Finland's Minister of Defence from July 2012 to May 2015. He led his party from June 2012 to June 2016 and was a member of the Finnish Parliament for Uusimaa from 2015 to 2016. Haglund has a Fenno-Swedish background and studied at Mattlidens Gymnasium (IB), Sydväst Polytechnic, Åbo Akademi University, and earned an MBA from the Hanken School of Economics in 2007. In addition to politics, he has held roles in business, including chairing the Finnish think tanks EVA and ETLA, and serving on the board of Enersense International PLC. He has worked as a CEO in private companies, including Veritas and KH Group. After leaving Parliament in 2016, he joined Sunshine Kaidi New Energy Group and later moved to Accenture in 2018 as Nordic head of banking and insurance. Haglund is a father of two.
