Caridina yilong is a freshwater shrimp from Lake Yilong in Yunnan, China. Described in 1999 by Cai & Liang, it lived along the lake’s edge among aquatic plants and is known only from the original specimens. The lake has dried out at times due to water withdrawal, and pollution from sediment, farming, and industry has damaged its habitat. It is listed as Critically Endangered and possibly extinct. Two other lake-endemic fish, Anabarilius macrolepis and Cyprinus yilongensis, are already extinct.
