Cao Huiying
Cao Huiying, born in 1954 in Luannan County, China, is a former volleyball player and the first captain of China's women's national team. A middle blocker, she wore jersey numbers 1 in 1981 and 3 in 1982, and played for the national team from 1978 to 1982. Cao helped China win gold at the 1981 World Cup in Japan, the 1982 World Championship in Peru, and the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi. She retired after the Asian Games. She played through health problems, including tuberculosis and a knee injury.
