Canjilon is a small community in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. It sits along State Road 115 at an elevation of 7,832 feet and covers about 3.21 square miles of land. As of 2020, 228 people lived there (down from 256 in 2010). The ZIP code is 87515 and the area code is 575. Canjilon is served by the Chama Valley Independent Schools district. The settlement began in 1870, and by 1880 about 35 families lived in the area.
