Calosoma bastardi
Calosoma bastardi is a species of ground beetle in the Carabidae family, within the Carabinae subfamily. It was described by French entomologist Alluaud in 1925. This beetle is found in south-eastern Madagascar. Adults are about 25–33 mm long and have a bright blue color, sometimes with a greenish tint. The species is named after French naturalist Eugène Joseph Bastard.
