Cadair Berwyn North Top
Cadair Berwyn North Top (also called Cadair Berwyn or Old Top) is a peak in the Berwyn range in north-east Wales. It rises to 827 m (2,713 ft) and has a small prominence of 19 m. It shares the Berwyns’ second-highest status with Moel Sych, though a 2014 survey put Moel Sych at about 826.7 m. A later Ordnance Survey discovery found a higher point between them, Cadair Berwyn New Top, at around 832 m, which is higher than both. So North Top is not the highest Berwyn summit; the New Top is higher. In today’s Denbighshire, North Top is the highest point (possibly tied with Moel Sych); in the historic county, the higher summit is the main Cadair Berwyn. The summit has a trig point. Nearby peaks are Cadair Bronwen to the north-east, and Tomle, Foel Wen, and Mynydd Tarw to the south-east.
