CJTM, branded as Met Radio, is a low-powered campus and community AM radio station in Toronto, Ontario. It broadcasts on 1280 kHz at 99 watts and is owned by Toronto Metropolitan Media Inc., operating from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). The station began on the AM band as CJRU on March 31, 2016, after years of online broadcasting; the 1280 AM frequency had previously been used by CFBN. In July 2023 the station changed its call sign to CJTM and rebranded as Met Radio to reflect the university’s rename. Met Radio has also operated as an internet station since April 2013, and the CRTC granted its AM license on December 11, 2014. The aim is to provide a mix of pop, rock, dance, folk, jazz, hip-hop, world music and more, with a music-discovery focus, along with in-depth spoken-word and community programming. The license requires at least 120 hours per week of local and Canadian programming. The station is governed by a nine-member board representing students, the university, volunteers and the wider community; the chair is Gerd Hauck. Transmitter space is leased from a tower in Toronto's Port Lands, shared with CHHA 1610 Voces Latinas. Met Radio won five Community Radio Awards at the National Campus and Community Radio Association conference in 2025.
