Broye-Aubigney-Montseugny
Broye-Aubigney-Montseugny is a small commune in eastern France. It is in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, Haute-Saône department, near Vesoul. The area covers about 125 square kilometers and had about 512 residents in 2023, a low population density.
The commune was created in 1973 by merging three former villages: Broye-lès-Pesmes, Aubigney, and Montseugny. The Broye-lès-Pesmes area is thought to be the site of Amagetobria, a major Sequani settlement in the pre-Roman and Roman eras. Until the 19th century, the place was known as Moigte-de-Broie.
The current mayor (2020–2026) is Jean-François Cercley. Broye-Aubigney-Montseugny is part of the Val de Gray intercommunality and lies within the Vesoul arrondissement and Marnay canton.
