Bradshaw Brook
Bradshaw Brook
Bradshaw Brook is a river in Lancashire and Greater Manchester in northern England. It starts as Cadshaw Brook, draining Green Lowe Clough on Turton Moor. It feeds Turton and Entwistle Reservoir and Wayoh Reservoir (Wayoh is also fed by Blackstone Brook and Whittlestone Head Brook).
The brook flows through Turton Bottoms and Chapeltown, then into Jumbles Reservoir (together with Hazelhurst Brook). It continues past Bromley Cross and Bradshaw, and joins the River Tonge at Leverhulme Park, east of Bolton.
In the upper Bradshaw Valley there is a Local Nature Reserve in the wooded Bradshaw Brook valley. The woodlands have native broadleaf trees and meadow areas. The northern end has a disused quarry with ponds, and at the southern end Bolton's arboretum is located. Bradshaw Brook is a tributary of the River Croal and flows through the reserve from Jumbles Reservoir.
