Boyne River (Nottawasaga River tributary)
The Boyne River is in Central Ontario, Canada, running through Simcoe and Dufferin Counties. It is part of the Great Lakes Basin and is a left tributary of the Nottawasaga River. The river is managed by the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority.
Its source is an unnamed pond in Melancthon, Dufferin County, near the Toronto, Grey and Bruce Railway and Ontario Highway 10. From there, the Boyne flows southeast past Shelburne, then roughly east-northeast (near Highway 89). It passes through Mulmur, the Boyne Valley Provincial Park, and into Adjala–Tosorontio in Simcoe County. It goes through Earl Rowe Provincial Park (mostly known as Earl Rowe Lake) and briefly through Alliston in the town of New Tecumseth before reaching the Nottawasaga River at Essa. The Nottawasaga River then flows to Georgian Bay on Lake Huron.
